Hellooooo.... it's been a while...

Please forgive me, for I have NOT blogged. Everytime I think about posting I unthink it just as fast. I miss you all and I am going to attempt to catch you up on the last few weeks, here it goes..... We have been busy with school, school, school, and school. My normal everyday errands take up a little time as well. Alan and I had a date night and went to the big ol' town of Ogden. We went to the comedy club called Wiseguys...the morning show host for the the Eagle owns it and he invited us out to see Joel McHale, The Soup guy..... he was really funny, more so in person.... I guess because it was his own material and not written out and trying to be funny!! I really enjoyed it! We took a little family drive to Thanksgiving point to have some one on one time with the animals.....As you can imagine, the Longhorn really bonded with our family....being from Texas and all! We went to a Monster Truck Rally...... LOUD...... the kids LOVED it. Gymnastics college style was so much fun. It was held at the U and hosted U of U, SUU, and Utah State. We have two new members of our family, Max and Shadow. They are MICE, yes I said MICE. The kids earned money and this is what they deciced on. I will never say, You can buy whatever you want, again!!! You will notice a picture of Landon on the phone... he was talking to AUSTIN! (Just had to throw that in there) The mountains are of course still beautiful with lots of snow on top. Thankfully the snow is melting and the sun is shining. We are bustin' out the flip flops and shorts..... the kids are all over the place riding their bikes. One Saturday night we decided to take a drive to Bountiful to see the Temple at night.... it's beautiful. We were amazed on the drive up all the deer in the residential areas..... a hunters dream. On our way back we stopped at the most amazing frozen custard joint called, and I know this is why it's so good, Nielson's Frozen Yogurt...... YUMMY!

I am just sick to my stomach over this whole Romney/McCain ordeal....... And Suckabee I mean Huckabee is a total loser.... If there is anyone that is actually for McCain can you tell me why? What does he really have to offer? Just explain to me why and where he is getting all this support.....I'M SCARED!

Family Home Evening......

So tonight we had FHE..... We had the kids write 3 facts about Pres. Hinckley and 3 things about Pres. Monson. Landon was quite impressed that Pres. Monson's favorite animal was a pigeon and he has had them in his back yard since he was a child. Alan asked how they stay around and not fly away... Landon's response, "Maybe he talks "Pigeon" and tells them not to fly away, he is the Prophet you know". Thought that was funny!!

a little diddy....

The Utard PoPo
Told this barbie from SoJo
Her Texas plates were a NoNo
So now she's a Utard DoDo

they just jealous....

this is just for laughs.... you know that right???

Funny thing happened Friday afternoon........

I got a random text from a friend asking what I was up to that day...... I responded with a really sarcastic message but funny, listing all these things I was "doing" for the day...... she asked if she could come over and help...... and I said sure you can, why not...... knowing this friends lived 1000's of miles away and thinking she was trying to humor me....... I still believed that even after she asked for my address...... you have to know this person, I really thought it was a joke....... but oh let's see, about 1 hour later there was a knock at the door and I here Makayla say "HI AJ"!!!! Ms. Chanda and AJ came to visit me all they way here in Utah.... ok, so she was here for other reasons but I know she was really here for me! hee hee We has such a good time and AJ enjoyed playing with Makayla and Landon. We were so happy to see them! I went to the movies with Chanda and here friend Candace to see "Over Her Dead Body" then off to the Cheesecake Factory for some.... well.... cheescake! What a fun time I had!!! I love my friends! I am sick to say, I did not take any pictures and have absolutely no proof so I hope Chanda will back me up on this one!! hee hee : ) I do however have pics to prove my visit with the Furniss family...... what an awesome family.... we had such a good visit and a great meal at Carabba's ! Makayla and Jessica picked up right where they left off as if they never really left off. Landon blushed when he saw Lexi! Jackie is just a few minutes up the road from us and visited us for Lauren's dance showcase in January. Victoria and Sean...... how I miss them. It was extra special seeing them all and realized that we have the most AWESOME friends ever!!!

I got your snow right here.....

Just when we thought the snow was gone, we woke up to 11" on Sunday morning. As we drove our .25 miles to our church building (which starts at 9 am now, whoo hoo) and realized how deep it was we were very happy to have my 4 WD..... oh she is so good to me...... we were a little surprised to see half of the hand full of ppl that made it to church stuck in the parking lot....... wouldn't ya think a 4WD would be a must here? And they say TEXANS don't know snow...... well, maybe not but we sure are prepared! You can acually see some of Lauren's car in the pics but that wasn't the case earlier that morning. The Bishop cancelled the last 2 hours of church and requested that we go home, grab our shovels, and help clear the sidewalks and driveways for those who may have trouble....... the kids were excited to grab their shovels and help out around the area clearing sidewalks and of course playing in it! And Roxy was right in the middle of it!

What a beautiful feeling......

Alan and I were blessed to attend the viewing of our beloved prophet, Gordon B. Hinckley. No words can describe the peace that was felt. It was truly a spiritual experience. President Hinckley will be missed but his legacy will live in all who loved him.
