And we did this and we did that.........
I was able to see my crazy girls (w on the dl) and spend some time with them. We as usual had fun catching up and sharing stories..... boy do I have some stories. Landon and Austin were able to exchange gifts and I got to see my "boyfriend" Davis... Landon went to Carly's bday party while Coach Jon and Coach John wrapped up the party......literally. Alan flew in the 22nd and brought the cold weather with him...... but the snow was not allowed on the plane unfortunately or forturnately depending on how you look at it! Church brought us smiles being able to see our Texas friends! We got to visit with Brett (aka. Dingo) and family, Jennifer and Jeffery and endulge in some Uncle Julio's..... oh yeah, that's what I'm talkin' about. My brother Branon and his family, Sterling, Hadley, and Hayden came in to spend Christmas with us..... it was nice to see them and visit. Mom and Dad hosted this event....... Alan and I decided to stay in a hotel.... but not just any hotel, the Gaylord Texan. What a beautiful sight especially at Christmas. Mom, Dad, Bran, Sterling, Me, Alan, Landon, Makayla, Hadley, and Hayden all went to the "ICE" exibit. The pictures just don't do it justice AND it was waaaayyyyy cold. Beautiful life size ice sculptures of the Nativity. The kids including Alan and Sterling enjoyed ending the ICE adventure by sliding down the ice slides! We had Christmas Eve lunch at the BIG BUCK BREWERY located next to the Bass Pro Shop where I endulged in a Texas sized Chicken Fried Steak! Our families enjoyed opening presents and stockings that mom wrapped and filled! We had lots of fun even if there wasn't a white Christmas in Texas. While Lauren was visiting her family in Austin and Makayla with her friend Kenzie preparing for the their ski trip to Colorado, Alan, Landon, and I returned to South Jordan where we prepared for our visit from Santa who was "held up by a snow storm the previous night" and was planning to come Christmas night. Landon put the reindeer food out and we got our PJ's on and went fast asleep to awake to presents the next morning. Landon got his bike he wanted along with lots of football stuff and couple Wii games. It was quite weird and a really fast Christmas with just one child......Santa came for Lauren and Makayla but they will have to wait until they return to see just what he left!!!
Decorating Christmas cookies......
We were able to go and decorate Christmas cookies with Auntie Angela and Belle... it's kind of become a tradition..... we started last year! The kids had a blast and the cookies were mmmmmmm good....... of course we were sampling while decorating!
Lauren visits CHS and friends!
Lauren was able to have lunch with friends when we returned to Texas for Christmas! She was excited to see everyone!
Lovin' the Recorder......
Landon..... he plays soccer too!!!!????
A vistit from Granna......
Alan's mom came to visit and we were able to show her the beautiful Temple Square. We were able to visit with Jean's cousin Leslie and her family. They live here in SLC.

The Night Before Christmas....... Texas Style
Found this and wanted to share.........cute site http://www.murphystation.com
MERRY CHRISTMAS YA'LL!!!
T'was the night before Christmas, in Texas, you know. Way out on the prairie, without any snow. Asleep in their cabin, were Buddy and Sue, A dreamin' of Christmas, like me and you.Not stockings, but boots, at the foot of their bed, For this was Texas, what more need be said, When all of a sudden, from out of the still night, There came such a ruckus, it gave me a fright. And I saw 'cross the prairie, like a shot from a gun, A loaded up buckboard, come on at a run, The driver was "Geein" and "Hawin", with a will, The horses (not reindeer) he drove with such skill."Come on there Buck, Poncho, & Prince, to the right, There'll be plenty of travelin' for you all tonight." The driver in Levi's and a shirt that was red, Had a ten-gallon Stetson on top of his head.As he stepped from the buckboard, he was really a sight, With his beard and moustache, so curly and white. As he burst in the cabin, the children awoke, And were so astonished, that neither one spoke. And he filled up their boots with such presents galore, That neither could think of a single thing more. When Buddy recovered the use of his jaws, He asked in a whisper, "Are you really Santa Claus?""Am I the real Santa? Well, what do you think?" And he smiled as he gave a mysterious wink. Then he leaped in his buckboard, and called back in his drawl, "To all the children in Texas, Merry Christmas, You-all"

Another day in the snow........
The snow began last night...... we built snowmen and igloos until about 10:30 last night. It was amazingly peaceful. Of course when we woke up this morning we found 8 more inches of snow to play in.....
OH MY SANTA......
Santa and his reindeer have been hanging out at 90th and State in Sandy..... We decided to go and see if the reindeer were really there and guess what we found out?.......
Did you know.....
Serously......
It was nice to enjoy for a little while....... the SNOW came last night and of course the kids are wanting to play out in it constantly but then there is the wet clothes and boots entering the house......... you know.... even though I make them strip down in the garage there still seems to be snow residue that mysteriously soaks my floors...... I am officially tired of the snow.... well for now.....
